1. Deliver Food by Using Door Dash

Most people are not eating at restaurants and they rather have their food delivered to them because of social distancing. Door Dash is one of the best side hustles to have if you want to make $100 a day.

Making money with Door Dash is simple. Dashers choose an order to pickup, and they go to a local restaurant to pick up the food. Then they deliver the food to the customer.

You can also receive tips and an hourly wage. If you live in a busy city, then you can make more than $100 in one day. Anyone can sign up to become a dasher. This is a simple job for people that want to work alone or need to get away from the kids for a few hours.

2. Freelance Writer

Being a freelance writer is one of the best legit side hustles you can do from home.  You can easily make $100 in one day or more by writing blog posts, articles, website content, and working with agencies.  You can pick your own schedule, be your own boss, and you don’t need a degree. All you need is a laptop, internet, Microsoft Word, and some good writing samples.

Websites like Medium can help you create writing samples for potential clients. My favorite way to find freelance writing jobs is to work with content agencies and use job boards like Listiller. Some other job boards are ProBlogger, Blogging Pro, and Freelance Writing Gigs. Freelance writing can be a fun and creative way to make extra income each month.

3. SimplrFlex

If you want to make some side income from home, SimplrFlex is a good egg to have in your basket. SimplrFlex connects you with companies that need customer service assistant. You get paid to answer their questions, and you get paid for every problem that you solve.

The best thing about SimplrFlex is that you can choose your own schedule and work anytime. There are no fees to apply, and they pay for your background check.

Currently, there is a waiting list, but it takes a few days to a few weeks to get hired. Sign up for SimplrFlex to make extra money.

4. Online Paid Focus Groups

Many people have heard about taking surveys for money. Normally when you take surveys you don’t really make a lot. If you to give your opinions on products or be in group discussions, paid focus groups will allow you to do just that.

There are websites like Respondent.io and User Interviews that will pay you to participate in a study. For example, if someone needs an opinion on a new weight loss app and you are trying to lose weight, you can test it out. You can get paid up to $300 for paid focus groups.

Paid focus groups are one of my favorite legit side hustles because you get paid a lot of money for about an hour of your time. When you do focus groups online, you will do a video chat or take a survey. It depends on the researcher. L&E Research also has online paid focus groups.

5. Create Low Content Books

Have you ever wanted to write a book but you don’t have the chops to do it? Creating low content books is a great alternative to writing books. A low content book is a journal, planner, logbook, notebook, or activity book that you can make and upload it as a paperback to Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing platform.

Creating low content books is one of my favorite side hustles to do from home. I create coloring books, journals, and logbooks. If you’re not artistic,  you can always hire a graphic designer to create your cover or interior. Websites like Book Bolt, Pixel Pod Studios, and The Page Planet has premade interiors.

Low content books can be a lucrative side hustle that will help you make extra money.

6.  Instacart Shopper

Instacart is something that I cannot live without. It is so convenient to be able to have your groceries delivered to you. Just like Door Dash, Instacart is a side hustle for people that like to drive.

A shopper places a grocery order, then you accept it. You go to the store, then you pick up the items and drop them off. Instacart shoppers can earn an hourly rate along with tips.

The amount of money you make depends on where you live. Driving side hustles are perfect for people that live in big cities. Instacart is a great side hustle for college students or moms.

7.  Sell Printables on Etsy

If you want to make money in your sleep you should sell printables on Etsy. There are many types of printables such as invitations, wall art, greeting cards, SVGs, and party games.

All you have to do is decide what you are going to sell and sign up for Etsy. It is important to know that Etsy does take out a fee when you sell or post a printable.

Nancy Billado has a free course that you can take to get started on Etsy.

8.  Print on Demand

One of the best legit side hustles is starting a print on demand business. You can sell t-shirts, home decor, stickers, mugs, and other products without shipping anything.  You use a software to create a design, and then you put it on a product, and the print on demand company will send it to the customer when they make a purchase. The best print on demand sites is Zazzle, Redbubble, and Merch by Amazon.

If you’re not an artist you can use websites like Creative Fabrica for designs or make simple text designs. They have a print on demand subscription that you can use to create designs. You can use the graphics commercial free without modifying them when you have a subscription. If you just want to purchase graphics one by one, you have to modify the design. It is important to do your research to see what is trending when you are creating print on demand products.

9.  Get Cashback for Shopping

I love to shop, and my bank account knows that.  If you’re shopping online, why not earn some cashback? There are apps that will give you a percentage of what you spent back. You don’t have to use any codes or clip coupons. You earn money by making purchases at a qualifying store.

There are a lot of cashback apps to choose from, but some of them are not worth your time. My go-to cashback app is Rakuten. Rakuten makes it easy to earn cashback. You link your debit card to the app and choose a merchant to shop at. On Rakuten, you can earn 1% to 12% back. Rakuten also does promotions that will give you double the money back.

You can download the Google Chrome extension or the smartphone app.

10.  Make Money Selling Clothes

Reselling clothes is a big business, and you can make a lot of money selling your own clothes or hit up thrift stores, yard sales, and consignment shops for clothes.

There are a lot of places to resell clothing online such as Poshmark, Mercari, Etsy, and eBay. Start by selling your own clothes to see if you want to turn reselling into a business.

Now that you know of some legit side hustles, you can pick which one works for you or combine more than one. Having a side hustle will help you pay the bills and give you financial security.
